readings of a scholar
for homework we had do go to chapter 60 in the book norton's field guide to writing and choose a story. i looked at all the titles and one of them just seemed to catch my eye, "our mothers face". a seemingly interesting title so i was curious to what it was about. i flip to it and start reading the story and it goes on to explain how the authors mother is deathly ill and she is scared to loose her. she doesnt want to leave her side however she gets pulled to go to the airport with her uncle to pick up bella her mothers friend. they get stuck in traffic and finally make it home. a couple nights later mom passes and just before she and her sister go to bed they look at each other and see their mothers face in one another felling comforted they drift to sleep. the reason i chose this is because i have felt the sting of death when it comes close to you it hurts and i feel that its allways comforting to kno that that person is watching over you looking out for your best interest.
