Disability study often falls into a number of different categories; how these people are treated and how the environment is not suited to them is just two examples of several. When the Whos think of the Grinch they think of an ugly, hairy monster. When really he is only another Who from Whoville trying to blend in and to live a normal life but is not able to do so due to his mistreatment. He is disabled because he is treated differently by all the other Whos. The others think of him, as not a true Who, but rather as an unfortunate mistake. Even his own parents believed that he was not meant to be delivered to their house. In the scene where Cindy Lou tries to analyze the Grinch’s past, she confronts the Grinch’s parents together and asks them several questions. They said, "That night, a strange wind blew," which also means the Grinch was not meant for the town of Whoville but for another, and accidentally ended up in the wrong place at a strange time. Admittedly, one of his mothers said, "But you know what? We knew right away he was special." That shows even from birth, the Grinch was thought of as an outcast by his own family. They raised him as best as they could but noticed many oddities. At their first Christmas they noticed more unusual behavior as they tried to give baby Grinch a cookie, but instead he eats the plate. As the scene pans back to the parents horror and shame is written on their faces. Even the parents thought the Grinch was a little off but they decided to stick it out and raise them on their own, loving him as much as possible. However, love can only extend so far and when the whole town treats you badly it can cause a person to resort to attack other and lash out on other people around them. As the Grinch begins to grow up, you see him start to adapt to his environment. It seems to be the older he gets in life, the more shame and emotional turmoil he is forced to withstand, with no one to support him. Every time he tries to pick himself up he is stricken by misfortune, making his heart smaller and colder with every beat of anger and hatred towards the Whos.
As the Grinch gazes at Martha May in the classroom, future Mayor Augustus makes the comment, "You don’t have a shot with her. You are eight years old and have a beard." Although the Grinch may hate 99% of all the Whos there is but one who has captured his heart since he was younger. Martha may, a beautiful elegant girl who thought the Grinch to be quite hansom, could not let the rest of the class know or she’d get teased as well. Deciding to keep it to herself, she continued to let the Grinch take all of the pain and laughter and stand-alone. Left in the cold, the Grinch was rejected by his peers and was forced into a secluded life. It is comments such as these that contribute to the Grinch being ostracized within the social group, turning his heart cold and leaving him with no one to turn to. None of the residents of Whoville, his neighbors, his mentors, nor his family realized that their words could have such a profound impact on his self esteem, eventually leading to his emotions getting the best of him, plunging him into attack self. As the scene continues on, if you look closely you can see that the Grinch’s desk is distorted and his nametag is almost scribbled; out of some sort of rebellion, perhaps? Martha May, the Mayor and the other classmate’s names are written in a fancy script or a cursive lettering. This gives viewers the feeling that the whole world is against the Grinch and that he is all on his own, trying to make it in the world, very early into the film.
Grinch was always an angry child, unafraid to show his emotions. He just wanted to blend in and look like everyone else so eventually he would be accepted into the social group. Before going home on Christmas Eve, the Grinch’s teacher instructs the students to "look your best, tomorrow" and so the Grinch returns home. When he arrives home in a confident mood he constructs an angel, made of metal and gems to wrap and give to Martha May on Christmas Day. He attempts to fit in by shaving to "look his best" as the teacher had mentioned before. The following day he goes to class embarrassed by the quality of his shave, so he wears a brown paper bag over his face. When he is asked to remove the bag, put down the book, and move his foot out of the way to reveal his face, he is made fun of for his "hack job." As the other kids begin to taunt him continuously, you can see the hatred in his eyes growing. As he starts to trash the classroom, yelling, "I hate Christmas," the class is startled and runs away in distress. This is the first considerable moment in his childhood in which he begins to be visualized as a dangerous monster by the public. At such a young age, even the Grinch could see that Whoville was not meant for him. Ashamed of himself, he sprints to "Mount Crumpit" in hopes to start a new life and forget about his past.

the third entry for chapter 59 was an easier choice seeing as it was the shortest to read haha the name of the essay is one of us..concepts of the private and the public in "a rose for emily". the author uses a rose for emily as a premise to determine how much alike or disalike private and public really are as the author goes on to tell the story of miss emily from jefferson mississippi i slowly start to want to kill myself more and more as every word is just pain and agony to my mind with sheer utter boardness floating about this essay was not pleasent to read i found my self thinking of other things while i read it and honestly i dont really know what the heck i just read(138)
my experiance for doing project 3 has been quite good i got a jump on things from the beggining so ive been ready every week with what i needed asking alot of qutions tends to help also going into the lab works well because they help you out so much when you are strugling for ideas on the other hand the purposal crap sucks because i was not ready for that and now i have forgotten how to do it i assume its just a summery of whswat i will be talking about however at this point its not my top top priority at the moment (106)
the second essay for chapter 59 i decided to switch it up a bit and go with somthing more not suited to my normakl liking to explore if you will i landed apon the invention of autobiogrophy: augustyines confessions by patrica hampl. the text was quite plain and hard to keep my focus due to lack of excitment and more of a monotone voice which made me quite sleepy it went on to tell the tale of augistine a bishop of the church seeking answers on religion whom ends up finding his answers while trying to dodge his ever so clingy mother(102)
the second essay for chapter 55 was a harder choice however i decided to go with anti intellectualism: why we hate the smart kids by grant penrod. it talks about how people treat smart people and put them down for being nerds when really they are the people who are advancing out culture further in all feilds its kind of crazzy how true that is though because if your smart you get picked on and meida wants us all to be dumber because thats what the cool thing is now a days reguardles we should turn our ways and start to look up to them (103)
when revising my drafts i have to take lots of thing into consideration spelling punctuation orgnization and so on i started revising by going over notes i took when my teacher and i were talking about my paper in class so i ended up reorgnizing things so it does not jump around so much then i led on to making sure everying flowed agiain once that was donw it was as easy as spell checking and making sure all fragments and runons were delt with then i just double checked all my work made sure no mistakes were made and finished off my conclusion (104)
chapter 59 was easy to decide whein i browsed the titles looking for somthing to spark my interest i came aacross the first essay which was fantasy mystery and ambiguity by philip nel the whole essay was just summerizing all the harry potter books. the author givingh comments and looking at other peoples approaches the author is obviously a huge fan of j. k. rowling and love the series harry potter along with all of j. k. rowlings other work this essay was quite frankly terrible to read i mean he has not said a single thing i dont allready know.(101)
chapter 57 had a lot of interesting artiles however i decided to choose what the matter with kids today for the first one when i started to read this essay the whole time it peeked my interest it was a very well written essay that i completly agree with down to every last word ot was about teenagers today and how the internet is effecting us weather its good or bad and let me tell you what he is completly right we do write socally all the time because it voulenterry done but when its a task we allways drag and put up a fight because we have to process words. (112)
the essay i decided to choose for chaper 56 was first u.s. cound finds 1 in 200 kids are vegiterian. it starts off very interesting talking about a highschool safty on the football ream who is a vegiterian then the story leads on to talk avout more examples of young people whom are either vegiterian or veagen however the upside to being a vegiterian is it can help with weight loss due to the diet restrictions that come with both the rest of the essay got quite boaring almost putting me to sleep as i read each word (100)

(104)
the second essay i decided to choose for chapter 55 was classic nuance by gregory hoadley which was about a school named indiana university which is a primary study of scientific reasearch. the building is very old and has been perserved for years with updates to give it that oldern era look to catch your eyes it really is a beautiful building that has been layin out perfectly and beautifully architects spent fourty six point six million dollers to build this building and design to fix their liking well this essay is a snoar to read however the building sounds awsome and looks amazing. (105)
the essay i chose for chaper 55 is victory speech by james woods thoroughout the context of this essay james woods talks about how speech is importante when adressing the public and barak obama is good at giving speeches he goes on to compare and contrsast barak obama with many other great speakers such as abe lincon at ghettysburg and martin luther king. one i seen he failed to mention was jhon f kennedy whom was a fanominal speeker as well. although the author makes good and valad points it is still kind of plain to read to me. (101)
i have a few questions for my reviewer, what was my srong points in my paper? did i use good transitions? what about word choice? do you like the discription of the scene i give? do i make a valad point in your eyes? what could i do beter next time? what do you think i shoud change? is it clear the point im trying to get acrosss to the reader? are all my sentances fluent? how is my intro and conclusion? what do you think i should change? do i examine my scense enough? (114)
the story i chose from chaper 55 is the canery colored caveran of death. at first glimpse it looks cool due to the style (comic book) as i go on to read o get confused even more i have no idea what the author is trying to get across to me. the author just rambles on about where he lives his father and his death then goes on about how he or she is ignored in the houshold and how being secluded sparked the creativity and made them do things at a more speedy rate eitgher way this story was terriblke and im mad for just wasting my time to read it when i could be doing somthing more productivve. (118)
the story i chose was called when i was a child it was quite good and suspenseful at first, then it lacked in grabbing the readers attenetion as it rambles on about their family values and life values but as it gressed a little white girl was staying with colored people the whole towng bugged them contunuisly about it then the authors mother took the white girl in so she could be with her kind and it turns out she actually is colored and mother decideds the girl has to leave reguardless of the time spent there (104)
